Top Manchester Hotel Serving The Airport Is Saved

There is no doubt that the current economic climate has led to many businesses struggling to survive. But in the sea of bad news that is swimming around us at the moment, it is heartening to see that at least one business has been saved from the bitter end it thought was in sight.

When many people book their flights out of Manchester Airport – as with any other airport – they tend to book a hotel room the night before. This is particularly the case if they are going to have an early flight, as it would otherwise mean an early start and a long drive in the early hours of the morning.

One of the main hotels that is used by all kinds of travellers, including the rich and famous, is called Etrop Grange Hotel. But up until recently it looked as though it was going to become yet another victim of the severe financial downturn that is gripping the UK.

Not any more though. The hotel had gone into administration – which as you will know is very often the last gasp in a business’s life before it finally bites the dust. But thankfully the management team at the hotel have managed to put together an agreement which means they were able to buy the hotel back and take it on themselves.

This means that if you were starting to think you might not be able to use this hotel any more, you can breathe a sigh of relief. Part of the reason that the hotel has been saved is because of the belief that the management team have in it.

After all, it is located in an ideal spot for Manchester Airport. Business people and other travellers can stay in the hotel for a night before heading off to the airport itself the next morning. And what a hotel it is – it is actually Grade II listed, so we’re not just talking about a bed for the night close by. This is a stunning building and you will be sorry to leave once the time to get to the airport arrives!

The airport itself is just half a mile away from the hotel, so you can be assured of getting the longest lie in possible when you check into the hotel the night before. And if you haven’t brought your car with you, the rail link which connects you to the airport is only a short distance away too.

The buyout is also particularly well timed and fortunate, since the hotel underwent a huge refurbishment project in 2007. So all in all this is a fantastic piece of good news to start 2009 with, as far as the hotel is concerned. And since it has a knock on effect on the airport, there is no doubt that those in the know at Manchester Airport will also be pleased that a hotel of such outstanding quality is still open for business.

Why not try it the next time you are flying from Manchester Airport?
